Gunmen Attack Innoson Showroom in Anambra, Abduct Three

Nnewi, Anambra State – Tragedy struck in Nnewi on Tuesday evening as gunmen attacked the Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing (IVM) motorcycle showroom along Owerri Road, abducting three persons. The attack, which occurred at approximately 6:45 p.m., has raised concerns over the growing insecurity in the region.
The Anambra State Police Command has confirmed the incident. In a statement released by the Command's Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the police disclosed that a joint security operation has been launched to rescue the abductees and apprehend the perpetrators.
SP Ikenga assured the public of the Command's commitment to resolving the situation. "The Police Command is determined and is already working with information obtained from the scene for the ongoing rescue operations," he said. He also appealed to the public for cooperation, urging anyone with relevant information to report to the Command headquarters in Awka or the nearest police station.
