UGBODEDE COMMUNITY CHAIRMAN, Mr. Elliot Ukutse makes Rejoinder to Tantita Security's Press Conference and Sensitization Exercise
In reaction to news in calculation regarding Ugbodede community been allocated with 50 surveillance slots, members of the community leadership and some coordinator of the Tantita security service from the community has cried out to the general public on fake news and falsehoods been told against the community by Tantita security service on the number of slots they were given. The statement read, It is with a sense of duty and responsibility that I, on behalf of the Ugbodede community, address the recent press conference and sensitization exercise conducted by Tantita Security. It has come to our attention that Tantita Security claimed to have provided 50 job slots to our community. However, this claim is far from the truth, as we have only received less than 25 slots.
Moreover, the assertion that our elders have been empowered is completely false. Our community elders have not seen any tangible benefits or support from Tantita Security, contrary to the statements made during the press conference.
I want to appeal for calm from the various stakeholders, particularly from our youths the issues will be addressed promptly.
I have personally spoken with Engr. Sam Uwatse regarding our dissatisfaction and concerns. He has assured me that, as the coordinator, he will relay our message to Tantita Security to ensure that our elders receive the benefits they deserve and that the job slot allocation is rectified to reflect the true numbers.
We hope that Tantita Security will address these issues promptly and provide the support and transparency that our community rightfully deserves one of the leaders of the community was quoted.
In another development, the leaders (people) of Aja-Etan community and Ijale-ikenren community all in Warri South local government Area, hosting Warri Refinery, NPDC, NPSC (PPMC) have all aired their concern over the maltreatment of Tantita security service over the years for not giving their community any surveillance slots in the ongoing surveillance contract awarded to them. The leadership of the community said that they have been helping NNPCL and WRPC to secure their pipeline from the WRPC jetty to the Refinery plant for years now without any benefit or payment, that the worst treatment came when Tantita security service since they were awarded the contract to protect the pipeline never call on their community or give them their slots as stakeholders in the NNPCL pipeline, the company never deem it necessary to give their community what is due them on the surveillance job (slots). The youth president of Aja-Etan community Mr Daniel Olukunyon and the Trust Chairman of ijale-ikenren community Prince Adolphus Tosanwumi call on the leadership Tantita security service to give them their slots like they have given to other community in the area.
All means to get the attention of the management of Tantita security service to provide the right figure given to Ugbodede community and to also know why Aja-Etan community and Ijale-ikenren community were not carried along in the allocation of slot could not go through, as they refuse to respond to their calls.
